This was my first event of this magnitude and despite my nerves, it was exceptionally well managed, with friendly faces all over the ride. Hi Selwyn.

 I attended your event for the first time this year. In a word ‘ FANTASTIC ‘. The course, the organisation, the weather were great and the food and drink voucher ( no one else does this ) were very much appreciated. For me, a couple of new friends met ( through funny coincidences ) and a PB by 50 minuites,  made it a memorable day. I look forward to being able to return to ‘ The Mountain ‘ next year.

First of all thanks for putting on a great event, it was very well organised and well run. As requested at prize giving here is my feedback, it’s really only one gripe which was nothing to do with the event, rather the competitors that somehow become so self involved they think they have the right to litter their way around the course. It’s not a new one but perhaps you could take a stronger stance on it.   I was in the front bunch and like all events was very annoyed to watch people downing their gels and throwing the wrappers on the road and throwing out empty drink bottles.  I’m sure like me, most other people were not happy about it.  In my books it’s an instant DQ given it’s so unnecessary.

Other than that, all good! Cheers and hope you have caught up on some sleep since the finish!

Thanks so much to you and your "Team" for all the time and effort that was put nto organizing yesterday's cycle challenge. It certainly was a "Challenge" on the heat but look at to-day!! - Conditions would have been almost unbearable for the older mature riders like me! Thank you once again for organizing a great day. First off, amazing job!!  My wife and I greatly enjoyed the ride as a 2 person relay.  By the end we were wishing we did the solo on such a beautiful day!!!   What a great ride and a great day for it.  I'm sure I can't imagine how much planning and work it took, but we thought it was EXCELLENT!

As a first timer to this event - and 2nd visit ever to New Plymouth, I have to say how impressed I am with the cycle challenge. The course was wonderful, the marshalls helpful, the after event great and the weather fantastic. I will most definately be back each year. Thanks for the great weekend. Donna

Hi Guys, I returned home yesterday after completing my 4th or 5th cycle challenge and just wanted to say thankyou to everyone involved. Once again the event ran smoothly and was a real joy to be part of. I would like to say a big thankyou and well done to the motorcycle marshalls whom I believe did an outstanding job of keeping the traffic flowing around what a pretty big bunch that I was in and for keeping us safe while doing it. To everyone else who had a hand in keeping the machine running From Selwyn down to the young lad who passed me my drink as I crossed the finish I can't thankyou enough without your efforts we wouldn't get to enjoy what was such a great day. Loved the idea of having the elite class start and finish after the solo riders, that was a great call. I have been doing these "fun" rides for a number of years now and this was the first time I've had the chance to see the "guns" finish their race, that was very cool I hope you keep it that way round.
