Welcome to the Taranaki Cycle Challenge Website.

Next year's cycle event will be on January 29th 2011

The Yarrows Taranaki Cycle Challenge (previously the Dutch Mill Taranaki Challenge) has become one of New Zealand's premier road cycle events with over 2000, competitive and recreational cyclists enjoying the day. This event is always held on the Auckland/Bay of Plenty Anniversary weekend and is one to mark on your calendar as a must do event.

A big thankyou to all of you who participated in the 2010 event. We have had excellent feedback about how well the cyclists kept to the road rules. Thank you to all the sponsors, helpers on the course and all the people behind the scenes that help make this event run so smoothly. Once again we were blessed with the weather. We look forward to seeing you all again in 2011.

CanTeen

Thank you for all your donations to CanTeen and we were delighted to be able to raise some extra money for them through the auction.

Our main Charity associated with the event for the last 5 years has been CanTeen, We have been able to raise funds for CanTeen by your direct donations and again this year by staging the clash of the codes. Have a look at the CanTeen link and be inspired by some of the CanTeen stories and the challenges teens have overcome.

The Taranaki Kids Sports Trust

$5 from every entry is donated to the Taranaki Kids Sports Trust. This is a charitable fund set up by Selwyn & Gayle to help Taranaki kids realise their sporting dreams. Applications have to be endorsed by the principal of the school they attend. Over the years we have been able to help a number of children and teenagers and would like to thank you for making this possible.
